Description
The SHOCKLINER brings a new era of skating. Its innovative design represents the next evolutionary step for skating on wheels. SHOCKLINER patented a simple, yet sophisticated suspension system. Skaters will appreciate the SHOCKLINERs low weight, and its ability to dampen surface vibrations is second to no other skate in the marketplace. Uneven surfaces such as flagstone are ridden more smoothly, reducing joint fatigue and stress to the spine. And by leveraging the trampoline-like tension generated through each movement, SHOCKLINER offers skaters a new class of motion efficiency, for a truly unique and memorable riding experience!
Technical Specs
The SHOCKLINER shown on the left represents a specialized speed skating prototype for athletes who are addicted to velocity. The so-called SHOCKLINER v-c system is designed to supplement the regular speed-skate frame, allowing skaters to use their existing custom-made shoes. It is made of high-performance materials and is completely handcrafted. And its light-weight chassis features an interchangeable spring system, allowing skaters to select the leaf spring that best serves their activities for a suspension that delivers optimal performance.Technical Specs:wheel mount: aircraft grade 7075 aluminummounting bracket: aircraft grade 7075 aluminumleaf spring: glass/carbon compositelength (wheelbase): 330 mmwidth: 70 mmweight: 1.300 g (without shoe)back to description

"After my initial skepticism about the project I was pleasantly surprised to witness the great driving comfort and the achievable velocity of this new piece of sports equipment. After a brief phase of getting used to the skate I was able to reach the same speeds as with my familiar equipment. In my opinion, especially the driving comfort is outstanding. I am sure the SHOCKLINER gives direction to long-distance racing or marathons." . . . "Andre Unterdörfel was national team member of the DRIV – German roller sports and inline association from 1994 until 2000 and has won several medals at national and international championships. At the moment he is assistant to the national trainer for ice skating.

“"The biomechanical innovation convinced me immediately! Tests we conducted showed that unevenness of the floor is absorbed by the damping system of the SHOCKLINER They strongly encouraged the assumption that the efficient shock-absorption of the SHOCKLINER reduces impacts on joints and the spine. All of the test persons verified a better comfort compared to a regular inline skate. I believe the shockliner not only to be a piece of sports equipment for inline skaters but for other endurance athletes as well!”"Prof. Schwirtz is Head of the Institute for Bioemechanics of Sports at the University of Technology, Munich and member of the International Society of Biomechanics (ISB). His research concentrates on motion analyses and coordination and the development of measures for performance diagnostics.

Shockliner is a start-up with the goal of creating sports products that are literally game-changing. The current focus is to bring innovation to the field of inline skating. Similar to the history of alpine skiing and the carving ski, shockliner is dedicated to revive the popularity of inline skating and bring back the peoples' enthusiasm about it.In order to do so, there is no way around the shockliner. The new skate should not line up and compete with existing and regular inline skates., they clearly have their justification. It is rather about offering a completley new alternative to inline skaters. Once stepped into a shockliner, there is no way back. It is new, it looks good and it clearly let’s you feel a difference!
